As a member of our community, you and your family are encouraged to take advantage of the club’s many educational events, playgroups, parties and more. The connections made through our members-only digital spaces and in-person gatherings are invaluable in navigating parenthood and beyond.
**Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions, all in-person events have been replaced with virtual events. We look forward to gathering again when it is safe to do so!**
Your annual club dues help to provide our membership with access to:
- Members-Only Facebook Group: This active group serves as the club’s primary online gathering space. Here, members ask for recommendations and advice, share resources and updates, and get to know one another.
- Buy, Sell, Trade Facebook Group: This group serves as the club’s online classifieds for everything from bottles to bedroom sets. Managed by SDPTC, but open to any local parents of multiples, this group allows caregivers to acquire or sell multiple items at once.
- Meal Trains: Providing home-cooked meals or tasty takeout for member families welcoming newborn multiples (or siblings); or those dealing with extended NICU stays, illness, or bereavement.
- “Big Sister” mentoring: One-on-one support from a mama who’s been there! Our new membership coordinator can pair mentors and mentees based on age of children, geographic location, areas of experience needed (tandem feeding, dealing with NICU stays, multiple sets of multiples, etc.) to find the perfect fit.
- Age-based Playgroups: The club’s playgroups foster friendship for both children and their caregivers, while also providing opportunities for social skill development, community engagement, and discovering new activities.
- Expert Speakers: Add to your parenting toolbox and get answers to your most pressing questions during monthly sessions with local experts. Past topics have included sleep training, feeding/nutrition, positive parenting, potty training, and more.
- New Parents Get Together: Parenting multiples is a joyful and challenging journey. These get togethers allow parents at the beginning of that journey to develop crucial camaraderie and support for the road ahead.
- Seasonal Family Parties: Bring the whole family out to celebrate with the club at our much-anticipated parties featuring good food, good friends, and a variety of seasonal activities.
- Twins Garage Sale/Resale Event: The club hosts a semi-annual children’s resale event for gently used infant and children’s clothing and gear that is open to the public.
- Mini Photo Sessions: The club regularly works with local photographers to offer members family photo mini-sessions at a deeply discounted rate.
- Moms/Dads Night Out: Because hard-working moms and dads of multiples certainly deserve a night out! Bond with fellow parents over food, drinks, and fun activities.
- Twin Mom Support Group: Hosted by a twin mother/club member who is a licensed therapist, this group provides mother of multiples the opportunity to discuss the trails and triumphs of motherhood in a therapeutic setting.
